Meet our Virginia Beach Team Members

Draper Aden Associates recently expanded our presence in Hampton Roads and opened an office in Virginia Beach. The new office is located at 109 S. Lynnhaven Road in the Widgeon Professional Center.

The Virginia Beach office will provide multidisciplinary services and adds five new team members. Collectively, they have over 100 years of experience providing innovative and multidisciplinary engineering and consulting services. Joining DAA in Virginia Beach:

David Barton

Director of Aerial Services

Surveying and SUE Division

A proven leader and innovator with unmanned aerial systems (UAS), also referred to as drones, David will become DAA’s Director of Aerial Services. A native of Chesapeake, he has worked closely with the federal government, military, and private companies on a wide variety of technology, scanning, and UAS/drone projects.

Robert Erwin, LS

Survey Team Leader

Surveying and SUE Division

Hired at DAA in 2012

Rob specializes in surveying, including the management of GPS and UTS machine control systems. Most recently with Branscome, he has worked in the Hampton Roads region for approximately 15 years.

John Robertson, PE

Senior SUE Program Leader

Surveying and SUE Division

John has over 40 years of experience in highway engineering and subsurface utility engineering (SUE) projects. He has managed numerous federal, state, municipal, and private contracts as well as worked overseas. John is considered one of the top experts and leaders in the field of Subsurface Utility Engineering. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Virginia Utility Protection Services, Inc. (va811) and previously served on the Board of Directors of the Common Ground Alliance.

Adam Vigilante

Project Surveyor

Surveying and SUE Division

Adam specializes in land surveying as a project technician and drafter. Most recently with DKT Associates, he has worked closely with municipalities and private developers on projects throughout Hampton Roads.

Forrest Robertson, PE

Business Development Manager

Marketing and Business Development

Forrest has extensive experience in water/wastewater systems, such design of pumping facilities, water storage, transmission, and distribution facilities, system modeling, leak detection, and sanitary sewer conveyance. He has worked in the Hampton Roads region for over 25 years. A graduate of Old Dominion University, he is active in many local associations, including past president of the Engineers Club of Hampton Roads and trustee of the Virginia Section Board of the American Water Works Association.
