Happy New Year from DAA! We can’t believe that 2018 has come and gone. Time sure does fly when you’re having fun! 2018 was filled with so many amazing memories and accomplishments, and we thought it would be fun to highlight some of our favorite moments of 2018 on our blog. So without further ado, check out our top moments of 2018:
Richmond Office Move:
Our Richmond team moved its headquarters this year due to our continued growth and expansion in the Richmond region! Our new office further reinforces our commitment to leaving a lasting, positive impact in the communities we serve. Come visit us at 1030 Wilmer Avenue in Henrico County!
American Heart Association Partnership:
We announced earlier this year that the American Heart Association is our firm’s official main philanthropic partner! We are so excited to continue supporting all of the amazing work that the American Heart Association does, such as educating people about heart disease, funding lifesaving research that impacts both children and adults, training people to perform CPR, and much more.
Growth of the Firm:
There is without a doubt that the talented and dedicated individuals we’ve had the pleasure of welcoming to our team have helped make Draper Aden what it is today. We are a vision-oriented firm and strive to carry out our values each day by empowering our team of professionals to go out into the world and make a difference. We welcomed many exceptional new team members to the firm this year throughout our eight offices in Blacksburg, Hampton Roads, Northern Virginia, Raleigh, Fayetteville, Charlottesville, and Richmond.
Awards:
Draper Aden received some top awards this year due to our team’s excellent work in the communities we serve! Our Hampton Roads team was honored with the Engineering Achievement Award from the Engineers Club of Hampton Roads for the firm’s use of virtual design and construction of The Main hotel and conference center in Norfolk, Virginia. Our Richmond team received an Honor Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies of Virginia for implementing 12 stormwater controls for the Virginia Military Institute’s new Corps Training Facility. In addition, our firm was ranked number 350 in the annual list of top design and construction firms in the nation by Engineering News Record.
