Draper Aden Associates’ Site Development and Infrastructure Division was launched in December 2016 in response to an anticipated influx of funding to upgrade America’s failing infrastructure. The division addresses the evolving needs of public sector clients and the demand for more complex and innovative site development and infrastructure solutions.
Not surprisingly, the division has been busy in 2017! The Site Development and Infrastructure team has the expertise to provide all elements of conceptual and final development plan preparation, site and utility layout, preparation of construction plans and specifications, contract administration, permitting, and regulatory and municipal approvals, while our other divisions work to support them.
As it continues to experience growth, the division has added a number of key team members this year. A recent addition is Meg O’Brien, LEED AP as Site Development and Infrastructure Program Manager. She has over 19 years of experience in the engineering industry and will be based in the firm’s Richmond headquarters.
Meg O’Brien is a high-achieving management professional with diverse civil engineering and project management experience. In her new role, she will focus on industrial and corporate real estate opportunities as well as continuing to serve both the education and energy markets.
She has extensive experience in integrated service projects, particularly related to corporate campuses. O’Brien has played key roles on a number of iconic developments in Central Virginia, including the Altria Research and Technology Campus at the Virginia Biotechnology Park and the Capital One West Creek Campus in Goochland County. Throughout her career, she has provided project management and consulting services for a wide array of clients, including public utility and transmission providers.
