Honorary Life Membership Award

Bill3Bill Aden is still racking up kudos for a professional life well lived. Co-founder and past President/CEO of Draper Aden Associates, he was recently recognized at the Annual Virginia Water and Wastewater Authorities Association Meeting with an Honorary Life Membership Award. Bill is the first consultant in the history of the organization to be recognized with this honor.

Dean Dickey, President of VWWAA presented this statement at the occasion:

Mr. William “Bill” Aden has been an Associate Member and esteemed colleague of Virginia Water and Waste Authorities Association for many years.

Bill brought to the Association invaluable professional experience in the areas of engineering, surveying, and environmental expertise.

For over 25 years, Bill diligently assisted the Association through his work at Draper Aden and his visits to prospective members to encourage their membership.

On behalf of the Association Directors and Members, we would like to express to Mr. Bill Aden our deepest appreciation and highest esteem for the devotion he has so generously, effectively and graciously given the Association.

Thank you Bill!

With utilities engineering as a foundation, Bill helped lead Draper Aden Associates from a small brick residence to a multi-location civil engineering business that influenced the economic development and growth of the mid-Atlantic region.

A large part of Bill’s success can be attributed to his participation and support of professional and civic organizations. A proud Hokie who bleeds maroon and orange, he is a member of, and past office holder, on numerous engineering and alumni boards at Virginia Tech. Currently a member of the New River Community College Foundation, Executive Committee of the Blacksburg Partnership, and the Blacksburg Museum and Cultural Foundation, he shows no sign of slowing down!

Congratulations Bill!  We know this is far from being the last recognition you’ll receive!
