[metaslider id=4703]   Highlights Location Princeton, NC Project Manager(s) Tyrus Clayton, PE Services Provided DA Economic Development Site Development and Infrastructure Utilities Engineering Grant/Funding Assistance Completion Date 2006 Draper Aden Associates assisted in the location and administration of LWCF, PARTF, and Johnston County grant funding for the complete design of a community park. The utility design for this project included the installation and extension of water service, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer. An asphalt parking lot, pedestrian walkway, azalea garden, children’s playground, toddler playground, various landscaped gardens, picnic shelter with restroom facilities, and an amphitheater were also included in the design. East End Theater

[metaslider id=4524]   Highlights Location Richmond, VA Project Manager(s) Dave Spriggs, PE Services Provided DA Virtual Construction DA Economic Development Surveying/Scanning Structural Engineering Completion Date 2015 Draper Aden Associates helped to preserve a community landmark through work on the neglected East End Theater in Richmond’s historical Church Hill neighborhood. We handled the structural engineering needs for the renovation as well as the expansion. Since no documentation was available for the building, Draper Aden Associates utilized new technology to create an interactive building information model (BIM) for the structure. This scanning technology was critical to the project because it showed that, although the roof was gone, the roof framing could still be used, saving the developer $100,000 and making the renovation more feasible. The firm utilized self-supporting floors in order to create commercial space and two floors of apartments. Town of Pulaski Brownfields Highlights Location Pulaski, VA Project Manager(s) Mike Lawless, PG Services Provided DA Economic Development Environmental Engineering Grant/Funding Assistance Completion Date Ongoing As a community service project, Draper Aden Associates worked with citizen members of the Town of Pulaski’s Economic Development Board for about a year to develop a grant proposal to fund the investigation of abandoned and deteriorating industrial sites, known as Brownfields, in the community. The grant proposal was successfully approved for expanded program funding through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, in the amount of $200,000. Subsequent to procurement, Draper Aden Associates was awarded a contract by the Town to begin the process of evaluating existing Brownfields sites for reuse as public facilities and/or for redevelopment as viable residential, commercial, industrial or mixed-use properties. The project concentrated on two target areas: (1) the Historic Downtown Commercial District located near the center of Town, and (2) the Pulaski South Historical Residential and Industrial District, also known as Southside....
