Blacksburg, VA: Draper Aden Associates is pleased to announce Michael D. Lawless, P.G. has been promoted to Environmental Division Manager and Tim K. Dean, P.E., L.S.I.T., has been named Site Planning and Engineering Division Manager for the firm.

Lawless will retain his role as Blacksburg Environmental Team Leader while assuming the added duties of oversight of the firm's growth and development of environmental and ecological services that include permitting, groundwater monitoring, water supply planning, brownfields and regulatory compliance assistance among others.

He is a member of the Board of Directors for the firm as well as the President of the American Institute of National Geologists (AIPG). Mike is a Professional Geologist in three states, and a Licensed Remediation Specialist. He has been with Draper Aden Associates for 13 years. Mike holds a M.S. of Geology from Old Dominion University and a B.S. in Geology from Bates College.

Dean will remain the Hampton Roads Office Manager and become responsible for the management of the firm's site planning and engineering activities which include oversight for the continued growth and development of services that include managing institutional, commercial, industrial, municipal and residential land development projects.

He has a B.A. in Math/Economics from St. Olaf College, a MS in Technology Management from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, and a BS in Civil Engineering Technology from Old Dominion University.
