Blacksburg, VA: Facing a year of economic uncertainty, the role of public-private partnerships will expand for infrastructure projects according to William (Bill) A. Aden, P.E., CEO and President of Draper Aden Associates. As quoted in the January 2009 issue of Civil Engineering News, Aden believes [infrastructure] projects constructed through these partnerships may become the accepted method of project delivery.

Aden was one of five civil engineering executives across the nation interviewed by the national engineering publication. Based on a forecast of declining expenditures for civil and municipal projects as a whole, a series of questions about upcoming economic challenges were put to the group.

The other executives echoed Aden's opinion noting that more creativity in funding will be needed to meet the needs of local and state infrastructure goals. The entire article can be accessed at http://www.cenews.com/print.asp?id=3464 .
